Suede is everywhere this season and I am absolutely in love with it. Here is your double dose of suede with a suede mini dress and suede gladiator shoes. I really hope you guys will like the pics. Please let me know in comments how will you style a mini dress.
Happy Friday! After about a week of slightly (as compared to the north) chilly weather, it is starting to warm up again here in the south. I am a true FL girl and cannot take the cold at all. So to celebrate the little bit of crispiness that is left in the air, I decided to style a sweater dress. Now this dress can very well be worn as a tunic but as I am short, I wore it as a dress as I wanted to style my over the knee boots. I love that the over the knee boots are always in style in winters as they are my absolute favorite.
It is my favorite time of the year in India; Diwali which literally means “festival of lights”. It is a 5 day long festival which signifies the return of Lord Rama to their native place Ayodhya after defeating Ravana. It is mostly about homecoming and brings back all sorts of nostalgic memories to me. And even though I am 9000 miles from where my heart is right now, how could I let go the chance to dress up in a colorful lehenga?
Happy Thursday! It is almost the end of October…seems so unreal. 2015 just started and we are already reaching the end of this year. Someone so rightly said “Days go by slow and the years go fast” and I cannot agree more.
I was in Chicago for 2 weeks and this is one of the photo shoots we did on The Navy Pier. Can I just say I was absolutely stunned by the beauty and the charm of this city. However when I tell this to my friends, they sarcastically tell me to “Visit Chicago in January”…probably because everyone close to me knows I just can’t take cold at all. I am a FL girl from heart and won’t be able to survive Chicago winter.
Coming back to the post, I am so in love with the oxblood color this season. I think it is one color that suits almost any skin tone and has a lot of power to it. I paired my dress with a leather jacket (another trend of FW 2015 that I am absolutely digging). To prevent the look from getting too masculine, I added a cute feather clutch). The entire outfit is from Justfab.
I love an all black outfit. Black is such a timeless color and makes you look slimmer and taller if wore right. For this outfit, I chose to style my leather skirt with a simple tee. A simple black tee is an absolute must have in any girl’s closet and I try to keep multiples of it for the simple reason that it is very versatile and can be easily dressed up or down.
This season I am absolutely digging the animal prints trend as well and hence I decided to style my all black outfit with leopard print sandals. I think animal prints give that confident “I got this” kinda vibe which is making this outfit even more fierce.
How was your weekend. We had a long weekend for 4th of July and it was great for me. I got to go to Pensacola beach with Mr Ro and we had a very relaxing weekend. I love beaches and I guess being a water sign (I am a Pisces), I am drawn to them…let’s just say I am absolutely addicted to them.
I am back with some more details of the Ravishing Women Contest that I participated in. The Day 2 of the Beauty Contest was a lot of fun. It included 2 rounds: An evening gown round and a Judges’ questions round. I wore this backless dress for my evening gown round. And styled it using silver jewelry.
